A young Kansas farm girl named Dorothy, accompanied by her dog Toto, is swept away by a tornado and lands in the magical Land of Oz, where she must follow the yellow brick road to the Emerald City to find the Wizard of Oz, who is the only one who can help her return home; along the way, she befriends a Scarecrow seeking brains, a Tin Woodman longing for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion desiring courage, all while facing the threat of the Wicked Witch of the West
